Oscar & Hooch collars and leads make huge impact

Oscar & Hooch, the British manufacturer of premium dog collars and lead, has found there's a growing interest for UK-made pet products from overseas buyers.

The company made its first appearance at Interzoo in Nuremberg, and managing director Paul Steckler said: “We were overwhelmed by the positivity from overseas customers. British manufacturing quality is respected and trusted across the globe and this was verbalised by many buyers.“

Oscar & Hooch ensures that all point of sale support bears the ‘Made in Britain’ logo and this stood up well at Interzoo with overseas customers seeing this as a great benefit in store.

Support from Petquip and the UKTi helped this UK business begin its journey to exporting goods overseas.

Paul added: “The financial grants available are of course very welcome, but we’ve found the strategic counsel and tactical advice to be invaluable when seeking new markets."

The next steps for Oscar & Hooch are to ensure the brand is placed appropriately in key markets and to maintain focus on UK customers. In this respect the company will be returning to PATS Harrogate in September.
