Retail outlook for pets market is positive

There was a real buzz at PATS Sandown this year, according to Carina Evans of Dog Rocks, with visiting retailers seemingly in a positive mood about 2014.

"The show provides the first indication of how the pet sector is going to perform over the next 12 months," said Carina.

"Judging by the feedback received from visitors to the stand, the retail outlook for the pet and garden market remains very positive.

"PATS was certainly a great success for Dog Rocks and everyone working on the stand comfortably beat their sales targets.

"Participating in key industry events like PATS allows manufacturers to update retailers about additional sales opportunities.

"Spring heralds longer and lighter days, encouraging both dogs and their owners to spend more time in the garden.  But it’s also when lawn damage from dog urine becomes more obvious, meaning there’s an increase in demand for products that solve this problem."

To help retailers make the most of this seasonal sales opportunity, Dog Rocks chose PATS Sandown to launch its partnership programme. This offers exclusive and on-going benefits including discounts on the first partnership order, alongside merchandising and support in achieving on-shelf sale optimisation.

For added piece of mind Dog Rocks gives retailers a buy-back guarantee on any unsold stock. Similarly, to help stimulate customer demand consumers are offered a 100% refund if not completely satisfied.
