Ancol branches out into China

Leading UK pet accessories manufacturer Ancol, in association with a Chinese trading company, has launched ‘Ancol China’, a new company selling Ancol dog products to independent pet retailers across China.

Following demand for pet products across China, Ancol has set up regional offices in Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai, from which it sells a large range of its dog products to pet retailers across the country. In the head office of Shanghai, they have appointed a CEO, Sales Director and regional sales managers. A new website has also been launched to advertise their products.

Sales Director Sarah Lane said: “People across China are changing their views about dogs and more and more are realising that they make great pets. Having researched the market, we found that Chinese dog owners love British products so it made perfect sense to set up Ancol China to meet this growing demand.

“We are already delighted with the success of Ancol China and look forward to working closely with our Chinese colleagues for many years to come.”

Shirley Zhang, CEO of Ancol China, added: “We are very proud to carry the Ancol name in China and the feedback from our customers has been overwhelming. We would like to thank Ancol for their ongoing support and are confident that Ancol China will continue to be a huge success.”
