Dog charity offers fundraising Valentine's gift boxes

To celebrate the special bond that homeless people around the county share with their dogs, the Street Paws charity is selling special Valentine's gift sets to help raise much-needed funds.

All of the money raised will go towards funding Street Paws' work, in supporting homeless people and their dogs in the North of England and Northern Ireland.

This includes the Dog Champions Scheme, which supports homeless hostels to become pet friendly so that people do not have to choose between their dog and a safe place to sleep.

There are two Valentine's Day packs to choose from:

  • One contains a special Street Paws paw balm and a Street Paws Printed treat bag - price £10
  • The second pack contains Street Paws paw balm and a Street Paws Derpy Dog collar, and is priced at £15.  Free Bag of Brewskis treats whilst stocks last.

Both are available at www.streetpaws.co.uk where dog lovers can also buy a special e-card for £2.

Every e-card sale will buy a Charity dog tag for a homeless person's dog, which contains Street Paws contact numbers incase the dog becomes lost or separated,

Michelle Southern, founder of Street Paws, said: "The dogs that Street Paws support really are the ultimate companion for the homeless people who look after them.

"That bond is so loving and strong, and that is why this Valentine's Day we hope that people would like to treat their own pet, and help Street Paws at the same time."
