Wellbeloved adds Senior Wet Pouches for dogs
James Wellbeloved is adding Senior Turkey and Rice and Senior Lamb and Rice wet foods to its range.

Available now, each 150g pouch is a complete meal in itself or can be used as a tasty topper and complement James Wellbeloved complete dry foods.  Pouches are available individually or in outers of 12.

Marketing manager Anne-Laure Jaouën says: “Dogs are living longer than ever before, for a variety of reasons including better healthcare, diet and consumer nutrional knowledge.

"However, age brings certain changes in nutritional requirements whatever the size of the dog, and providing the best possible diet as the dog ages will help ensure that the senior years are as comfortable as possible.

"The Wet option is particularly appealing for older dogs, because as the sense of smell declines with age appetite can decrease.  Adding a tasty topper or choosing a wet option can encourage the dog to eat.”

Suitable for dogs aged seven years plus and 10 years and older for small breed dogs, James Wellbeloved Senior pouches are formulated with glucosamine for joint health, taurine for heart benefits, and vitamins C and E for immune system support. Made to the same exacting standards as James Wellbeloved dry foods, the Wet option also meets the same naturally hypo-allergenic profile and complements the company’s ‘with rice’ dry foods.

“The premium dog single serve and wet pouches category is growing fast,” comments Anne-Laure, “and represents an ideal way for the specialist pet trade to offer dog owners a top quality product in an exciting format.

"We recommend cross-display, with a stand-alone wet display and cross-merchandising on the dry section to ensure that Senior Dog Wet really stands out. It can also be displayed by the till to drive impulse purchase.”
