Lynda Ward celebrates 30 years in the pet industry

Lynda-Ward
Recruitment specialist Lynda Ward is celebrating 30 years in the pet industry, and admits she has enjoyed every minute of it...

Lynda established Pet Trade Solutions 12 years ago after having spent six years with Crown Petfoods/Royal Canin UK, six years with Leander Petfoods selling Iams and Eukanuba, and a further six years with Jenks Brokerage selling Purina/Febo.

“Coming from a dog-oriented family background and after having had customer-facing roles in hotels and airlines, joining the pet trade felt like coming home," said Lynda. "I have been in my element ever since.

"I came into the industry at a time when territories were enormous and area managers dovetailed calls on retail, breeder and vet channels, which made the role challenging and planning critical but particularly interesting and rewarding.

"Succeeding in the roles of sales and marketing manager and area manager over 18 years, including training new area managers, enabled me to set up my own recruitment business. Over the last 12 years I've been able to identify high quality sales and marketing professionals, who don’t just meet, but exceed, clients' needs and expectations.

"I fulfill all recruitment briefs personally so knowing and understanding the industry and having a huge network of contacts made over the last 30 years means that Pet Trade Solutions supplies a recruitment service which is fast, reliable and hassle free. The net result to clients is swift, insightful and objective selection of staff at all levels sourced from within or outside the pet trade.

"I look forward to every working day and expect to support the pet trade for many more exciting years to come."
