Pedigree Wholesale has reached a distribution agreement with Natures Menu, and has invested over £40,000 in a professional frozen distribution solution at their Midlands depot in Nottingham, from where the 105 SKU’s will be handled and dispatched.
To ensure product arrives at the customer in pristine condition it is picked from freezers and immediately packed into specially designed insulated cold storage units which are then loaded onto the delivery vehicles. Eutectic plates, which have been blast chilled to -45 degrees, are placed inside the units, allowing the required temperature to be maintained for well over 24 hours. Eutectic plates release a constant cooling capacity due to the latent melting heat from the eutectic mixture.
