Pet boutique opens in Leek, Staffs

A new pet accessories boutique called Dougal's Den has opened its doors in Leek, Staffordshire...

Lynn Haigh (pictured) has been selling ‘unusual’ pet accessories for cats and dogs online for two years. The business has grown so fast that she has now decided to open up a shop in her home town.

“I sell a range of dog and cat toys, treats and accessories that are a little bit different as well as pet related gifts such as tea towels," said Lynn, who has two dogs and two cats herself.

“I have done a few retail trials in Leek by having a stall on market days, as well as having a stand at Leek Show. These were successful so I thought why not try a shop in Leek. I do hope to eventually have a chain of shops.”
