Burns staff complete over 50 years voluntary fire service

Five members of staff at Burns Pet Nutrition in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, have notched up 57 years of service between them working on a voluntary basis for the Mid and West Wales Fire Service.

Peter Morris,  Mike Fitzpatrick, Spencer Chilvers, Wayne and Chris Eldred answer 999 calls during the day and evenings.

“As a company we believe that it is important to put something back into the community," said John Burns.

"We are extremely proud of our staff members who are not only enthusiastic employees but are also extremely brave members of the local Fire Service.

"Fire fighters put their lives at risk everyday and play such a vital part in protecting us all.”
