Land of Holistic Pets, the Ayrshire-based company set up by pet nutrition specialist, George Burns, has been awarded Best New Product for its Robbie’s Grain Free Mixer holistic cuisine premium dog food by a panel of prestigious pet retail experts.

The product was selected from more than 270 entries to unanimously be crowned best in show in the Dog Food and Treats category at PATS Harrogate

George Burns, founder of Land of Holistic Pets, decided to launch into holistic cuisine for dogs after years of studying the health issues associated with many commercially prepared pet foods. The cuisine is part of a new generation of holistic diets akin to feeding the family.

George said: “It is a fantastic honour to be selected as the winner of the Best New Product award at this year’s PATS conference – it’s like winning an Oscar.

“We have spent many years studying and transforming pet nutrition, so this recognition is a wonderful way to mark the hard work it has taken to get to where we are today.

“Nutrition is the foundation of good health in any pet. By introducing the correct ingredients in the proper proportions along with herbs to a dogs diet, it is possible to correct any imbalance there may be in their body, which in turn enables the immune system to rid the body of toxins which often manifest themselves in conditions, such as itchy skin, eczema, runny eyes, bad breath, waxy ears and loss of energy.”

Robbie’s Grain Free Mixer has been specially developed to be hypo-allergenic, wheat free and gluten free as well as exclusive of additives.
